The new tour dates by Liz Phair
Some interesting news this week:
I am looking forward to additional cities being listed.
- Ken Lee breaks news that new tour dates are imminent yesterday.
- New tour dates appear today. Ken tweets that the site has been updated.
- @Liz_Phair, the official Liz Phair news twitter account remains silent.
- Initial set of cities all located on west coast, which aligns with area of concentration from the Exile in Guyville concerts in 2008.

Exile on Main Street Rarities
A new release of the Rolling Stones Exile on Main Street includes a disc called Exile on Main Street Rarities. You can also purchase the new disc by itself at Target.
It's important if you're a big fan of the Rolling Stones, then this new material is a must. I purchased it, but I'm finding that I'm not listening to it that much. It doesn't include songs that you've heard much from.
I'd recommend a pass on this unless you've just got to have this disc.

JP Chrissie & The Fairground Boys - Fidelity!
I've had this album for 3 or 4 days now and I can say that I do like it.
I've always loved Chrissie Hynde's voice from her days with The Pretenders. This new group has a different style, but it's nice.
This is my first album from Rocket Science Ventures, a new recording industry servicing and publishing company. They also are the record company that Liz Phair has chosen to help with her new Funstyle album.

Is this any way to sell a smart phone?
I've got my eye on a hot new smart phone that's just come out.
There's just one problem--nobody has it. You cannot get it from the cellular carrier. They acknowledge that they support it, but they don't have it.
The company that makes the cell phone doesn't have a brick and mortar presence. You can buy their computers and their new smart phones directly from them through the internet.
What this means is that you cannot even pick it up and see if it meets your needs. All you have are glossy pictures on the web pages.
I'd tell you the name of the smart phone company, but that's beside the point. Who buys a cellular phone without taking a look at it first? What if there's problems with transferring items from your old phone over to this phone--who can help you?
I had planned on creating a blog item on the music business first, but this one has been bothering me and I needed to write this one first.
